To gain insight into the cause of the disturbance, a microscopic sludge analysis can be performed. Problems such as excessive growth of filamentous bacteria, oxygen and nutrient deficiency and surface activity can be demonstrated. Activated sludge is noted digitally. The activated sludge microscopic analysis in relation to the purification data, the performance of the biological process makes problems transparent in the purification process.

WM Innovatie can give regular advise about the proper treatment of wastewater and system choice, including the design of new water treatment plants. These are substantiated on the basis of laboratory tests such as flocculation, biodegradation, nitrification and denitrification activity reports. These can be scaled up to a pilot on location.
